October 19, 1963 – Williamsville, New York – Jim Dombrowski entered the world.
Jim was an offensive tackle who played for the Virginia Cavaliers. Jim was an excellent student, as he won numerous awards as one of the finest student-athletes in the history of the University of Virginia. As a player, he was a unanimous First Team All-America pick in 1985 and received the Jacobs Blocking Trophy in back-to-back years in 1984 & 85 as the best offensive lineman in his conference per the footballfoundation.org’s bio on him.
The National Football Foundation voted to induct Jim Dombrowski into its College Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
